Arab Finance: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid has discussed investment opportunities in Egypt’s healthcare sector with a delegation from Hassan Allam Holding and Turkish investment company Rönesans Holding, according to a statement.

The meeting focused on plans to develop an integrated medical complex in Cairo under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, with a total capacity of 4,200 beds. The facility will be established through a consortium of Egyptian and international partners specializing in the development, financing, and execution of large-scale healthcare projects.

Under the proposed structure, the Egyptian-Turkish consortium will handle the project’s construction and non-medical operation. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Ministry of Health will oversee medical and clinical services.

The development will also include residential and educational facilities, with land allocated for future expansion and the option to implement the project in phases.

Talks also covered mechanisms to accelerate the project’s execution, including the possibility of granting it a golden license or incorporating it into one of Egypt’s investment zones

Dalia Wahba, CEO of Hassan Allam Investment Managers, affirmed that the project reflects the strength of the partnership between Egyptian and international expertise.

Wahba said the consortium gathers partners with extensive expertise in developing, financing, and implementing healthcare projects, enabling the delivery of an integrated medical complex that meets international standards.
