Stronger international collaboration is needed to protect the world’s cultural and natural heritage as climate change and armed conflicts pose unprecedented threats to heritage sites, officials and experts said during the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee.

Gdynia, Poland’s interwar modernist port city, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a spot on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Celebrating its centenary, Gdynia was constructed largely between World War One and World War Two, signifying a period of rapid development and modernization.
