Kenya, Jul 29 – Kenyan advertising technology company Suss Ads has launched an artificial intelligence-powered advertising platform designed to help brands, agencies, publishers and media owners manage campaigns across multiple channels through a single integrated system

The Nairobi-based company said the platform forms part of its ambition to build Africa’s “Advertising Operating System”: a technology ecosystem intended to streamline media buying, customer engagement, campaign management and performance measurement across the continent.

The launch comes as Africa’s digital economy continues to expand, with businesses increasingly seeking data-driven ways to reach consumers across online, mobile and traditional media platforms.

According to the Communications Authority of Kenya, mobile data subscriptions reached 58.5 million by June 2025, with 78.2 per cent connected through mobile broadband, while active mobile money subscriptions rose to 47.6 million, underscoring the country’s growing digital economy.

Suss Ads says its platform addresses one of the advertising industry’s longstanding challenges—fragmentation—where advertisers rely on multiple disconnected tools for media buying, audience targeting, customer engagement, reporting and campaign measurement.

The company said the new platform brings together programmatic advertising, conversational commerce through WhatsApp and SMS, digital out-of-home advertising, Connected TV (CTV), social media marketing and artificial intelligence-powered analytics within a single dashboard.

Users will be able to deploy campaigns, monitor performance, manage creative assets and access audience insights in real time while receiving AI-generated recommendations aimed at improving campaign performance.

Among the platform’s features are audience segmentation, contextual advertising, ad fatigue detection, creative effectiveness analysis, brand affinity modelling and real-time optimisation tools designed to help advertisers make faster, data-driven decisions.

The company has also expanded into Programmatic Digital Out-of-Home (pDOOH) advertising and Connected TV, allowing advertisers to coordinate campaigns across digital billboards, streaming platforms, websites, mobile applications and other digital environments through a unified buying platform.

Founded five years ago, Suss Ads has grown from a Nairobi startup into an AdTech platform serving more than 30 active clients across sectors including banking, insurance, real estate and fast-moving consumer goods.

The company says it has delivered billions of advertising impressions since inception while building an in-house team of 22 professionals spanning engineering, data analytics, media operations and creative technology.

“We were never interested in building just another advertising agency,” Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Maina said.

“We wanted to build the underlying infrastructure powering how advertising is planned, purchased, delivered and measured across Africa. Nairobi is not Lagos, and Johannesburg is not Lusaka. Our solutions have to reflect those realities.”

Looking ahead, the company said it plans to deepen its artificial intelligence capabilities, expand into additional African markets and continue developing technology tailored to the continent’s evolving media and consumer landscape.
