Mauritanian champions FC Nouadhibou have strengthened their squad with the signing of Nigerien international goalkeeper Abiboulaye Younoussa Hainikoye as preparations intensify for the upcoming campaign.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper joins the 14-time Mauritania Ligue 1 winners from Union Sportive de la Gendarmerie Nationale (USGN), adding depth and youthful quality to the club’s goalkeeping department.

Nouadhibou, widely known as “The Boss,” confirmed the arrival of Hainikoye in an official statement, expressing confidence in the youngster’s potential and welcoming him to the team ahead of a demanding football calendar.

“Welcome, Abiboulaye Hainikoye,” the club announced.

“Nigerien international goalkeeper Abiboulaye has officially joined our squad from Union Sportive de la Gendarmerie Nationale du Niger (USGN).

“We wish him a warm welcome and great success in his new colors.”

Hainikoye’s arrival is seen as part of Nouadhibou’s broader strategy to reinforce key areas of the squad as they aim to maintain domestic dominance while competing on multiple fronts in the new season.
