Last week we shared footage of a tourist trapped in a public restroom by a giant bison in Yellowstone National Park. The man is shown peeking from the doorway as the bison grazes just outside – not the type of attention anyone craves.
This week Tropical Africa shared footage showing a lion essentially trapping guests inside a lodging unit while resting downstairs alongside the safari vehicle.
“When you want to go on a game drive, but a lion is napping in the shade of your car,” Tropical Africa described

The site is Urikaruus, a wilderness camp in South Africa’s Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, famous for sightings of black-maned lions.
“In Africa, the best camps aren’t fenced,” Tropical Africa continued. “That’s the whole point, it’s what lets moments like this happen. So [the tourist] waited. You don’t argue with a lion.”
The footage is brief and does not mention how long the standoff lasted. But it reveals the lion’s curious, non-aggressive nature while gazing up at the person documenting the encounter.
