Sky Victor, the daughter of controversial Kenyan preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari, is back on social media, and fans have noticed.
The young content creator and influencer went live on Instagram yesterday in what appeared to be a home salon or beauty room setup, filming in a relaxed, selfie-style format. The livestream quickly caught the attention of Kenyans online, and for good reason.
Why Sky’s comeback raised eyebrows
Pastor Kanyari had previously made headlines after he addressed the matter of his children’s phones during one of his sermons.

He stated that he had collected the devices from his children, including Sky, as a protective measure.

“Are you from Kenya? Sadly, I’m not. Everyone assumes I’m from Kenya and I’m actually not,” she said during the session, going on to reveal a mix of heritages. “I’m actually part Chinese and Thailand ish. Yeah, and South African.”
The revelation surprised a number of viewers who had long assumed she was Kenyan given her upbringing and public profile.
She also touched on her makeup skills, attributing them simply to natural talent rather than formal training.
“I just like, I’m just like a natural. I just did it,” she explained.
Sky also teased the idea of getting a nose piercing before quickly talking herself out of it, joking that even small things she does tend to attract major public attention.
“I don’t want people on me,” she laughed.
