ArchbishopJohn Bonaventure Kwofieof theCatholic Archdiocese of Accrain Ghana has urged 10 Deacons he ordained Priests to embrace their vocation as fearless proclaimers of the Gospel, encouraging them to preach Christ’s truth faithfully without yielding to public pressure or compromising the teachings of the Church.
In the Eucharistic celebration that was held at Holy Spirit Cathedral of Accra Archdiocese on July 25, Deacons Raynold Akwetey Nartey, Jasmine John Kwabena Obiri-Yeboah, James Baga Bonyeh Bonyaah, Christian Delali Ezor, and Anthony Anim Addo were ordained Priets.
Others were Emmanuel Mawuli Kodzo Ahiatrogah, Francis James Nii Ayi Ankrah, Justice Kwaku Tsinowope, Gabriel Nuertey Atakpli, and Michael Atiawin Abilla.
In his homily at the Ordination, Archbishop Kwofie reminded the Priests-elect that their foremost responsibility is to communicate the Gospel as handed down by the Church, following the example of St. Peter and St. Paul.
“You are ordained to proclaim the same message proclaimed by St. Peter and St. Paul. You are ordained to proclaim to the community what the Church teaches,” the Ghanaian Catholic Archbishop said.
