It’s been a bloody weekend in the Western Cape, with at least 11 deaths recorded during several mass shootings.
Police responded to gun attacks in Gugulethu, Manenberg and Stellenbosch.

The violence follows a triple murder in Khayelitsha on Friday.
Early on Monday morning, five people were killed in a shooting in NY50 in Gugulethu.
The four men and one woman, aged between 19 and 23, were declared dead on the scene, while another woman was rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds.
In Kayamandi in Stellenbosch on Sunday, four people were killed and four others, including two police officers, were wounded.
At the same time, in Manenberg, a 74-year-old woman was shot, while two men lost their lives.
Police are also investigating a triple murder in Site B, in Khayelitsha, on Friday afternoon in which three men in their thirties were killed.
The motives for this weekend’s deadly shootings are still under investigation.
