The world knows Keke Palmer to be booked and busy. For this year’s Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, she’ll be speaking at Creme of Nature’s “Unstoppable on the Vineyard” activation with self-care and burnout at the center of the conversation.

In partnership with Black Enterprise, the multi-hyphenate and Creme of Nature Chief Brand Officer will join Revlon’s senior vice president of marketing, hair & personal care Chandra Coleman, Emmy Award-winning hairstylist Angela C. Stevens, Creme of Nature’s Global Brand Director Nikia Bowman and Black Enterprise‘s Selena Hill for a panel discussion about intentional living and stress relief.

“My hope is that everyone walks away with new insights, a little inspiration, and the confidence to embrace their unique beauty on their own terms,” Palmer said in a statement to VIBE. “I’ve always believed that confidence starts with owning your story, and for many of us, hair is a big part of that story.”

Creme of Nature’s two-day “Unstoppable on the Vineyard” activation kicks off Friday with a hairstyling pop-up where vineyard vacationers can get light touchups to their hairstyles, a masterclass with Stevens for hair care and maintenance tips, hand massages and conversations about the future of natural hair care. The following day will include her panel discussion on balancing professional and personal life with a restorative breathwork session led by integrative healing coach Devi Brown.

In 2024, Palmer was announced as Creme of Nature’s first-ever Chief Brand Officer. In an interview with Essence, she shared how real-life experiences, like the one ahead in Martha’s Vineyard, are what excited her most for the role with the Chicago-founded haircare company. “I love a demo moment, a girl’s moment, a community moment,” she said. “I want to create opportunities where we can get together and talk about how to use these products.”

The 2026 Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival marks its 24th iteration of the Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts-based showcase. For a week, the Oscar-qualifying festival will showcase African American storytelling, including clips of the highly anticipated film, Children of Blood and Bone, Netflix’s feature documentary on Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Jill Scott’s feature as Ella Fitzgerald in the short film Ella.

In addition to the movie screenings, attendees will be able to listen in on panel discussions led by culture and film auteurs from across the nation, including Children of Blood and Bone director Gina Prince-Blythewood and WNBA alum and Olympic Gold Medalist Sheryl Swoopes.
