    Tyla announces world tour, confirms Lagos concert

    <a href="https://absafricatv9491.live-website.com/three-debutants-in-all-blacks-squad-for-south-africa-captain-savea-to-miss-start-of-tour/” title=”Three debutants in All Blacks squad for South Africa, captain Savea to miss start of tour”>South African music star Tyla has unveiled dates for her ‘A*POP’ World Tour, with Lagos, Nigeria, included among the cities she will perform in.

    The Grammy-winning singer announced the tour on Mondaynspired by her recently released sophomore album, APOP

    The global tour is set to begin on October 12 in Paris, France and will take the singer across 11 countries, including France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the United States, Nigeria and South Africa.

    Tyla is scheduled to perform in Lagos on December 22, before wrapping up the tour with shows in Cape Town on January 4 and Johannesburg on January 9.

    9 – Johannesburg, South Africa

    Tyla rose to international prominence in 2023 with her breakout single ‘Water’, which became a global hit and earned her the Best African Music Performance award at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

    She later built on the success of her self-titled debut album, Tyla, with tracks including ‘Truth or Dare’, ‘Jump’, and ‘Art’.

    The 24-year-old also retained the Best African Music Performance Grammy at the 2026 awards, beating a field that included Burna Boy, Wizkid and Ayra Starr, Davido and Omah Lay, as well as Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin.

    Adetutu has three years experience in publishing stories on gender, health, education, metro and fact-checking.
